St Barts Events Calendar 2026: Festivals, Regattas & Key Dates
From the New Year’s fireworks over Gustavia harbor to the summer carnival and the autumn music festival — here is every major event on the St. Barts calendar for 2026, with everything you need to know to plan around them.
January 2026
New Year’s Aftermath (Early January)
The harbor remains packed with superyachts through early January following New Year’s Eve. The social energy is at its highest of the year. All restaurants operating. Beach clubs open. The island is at peak season intensity.
February 2026
Carnival (Late February / early March — dates TBC)
St. Barts celebrates Carnival in the weeks surrounding Mardi Gras. Small by Caribbean standards but genuinely festive — parades through Gustavia, local music, street food. A rare opportunity to see the island in a more local, less tourist-oriented mode. Dates vary each year based on the Easter calendar.
Valentine’s Week (14 February)
The island’s most romantic week. Top restaurants fully booked. Villa bookings see a premium. Plan and reserve well in advance.
April 2026
Les Voiles de St. Barth Richard Mille (April — exact dates TBC)
The island’s premier sporting event — an international sailing regatta attracting competitors and spectators from across the sailing world. Runs approximately 8–10 days. The harbor fills with racing yachts. Evening events, prize-giving parties, and an elevated social atmosphere throughout. Free to watch from the harbor and hillsides.
June 2026
Music in St. Barths Festival (June — dates TBC)
An annual classical music festival bringing internationally recognised performers to intimate venues across the island. Concerts in churches, hotels, and outdoor venues. Tickets are modest in price; quality is extraordinary. A favourite of the island’s long-term residents.
July 2026
Bastille Day (14 July)
French national day is celebrated on St. Barts with fireworks over Gustavia harbor, local music, and dancing in the streets. One of the most genuinely local and joyful celebrations in the calendar — a night when the island’s French identity is on full display.
St Barts Week / Fête Patronale (mid-August)
The island’s patron saint festival — celebrations centred on Gustavia with boat races, local competitions, and community events. A quieter period for tourism but an excellent window into authentic island life.
October 2026
St. Barth Film Festival (October)
An annual international film festival held across island venues. Small but quality programming, with a focus on independent international cinema. Popular with the island’s arts-minded residents and visitors.
November 2026
Season Opening (mid-November)
Hotels and restaurants that closed for summer begin reopening. The island comes back to life. November is the beginning of the new season and one of the better months to visit — good weather, low crowds, and full operation of the island’s key properties. Book November villas here.
December 2026
New Year’s Eve (31 December)
The island’s most spectacular event. Fireworks from the superyachts, private parties on clifftop villas, restaurants with special menus. The world’s most glamorous New Year’s Eve. Book now — villas for NYE 2026 are already going.
